Job Overview

As the Senior Manager, Operations Finance (AMS), you will be a key member of the AMS Operations Finance team, supporting the Director of Operations Finance in providing financial and business support to our Operations partners in the Automotive business. This is a regional role that will interact directly with finance and senior management across all manufacturing locations in the AMS region.

 

In this position, you will lead and manage a team of four professionals, ensuring alignment, development, and delivery of high-quality financial insights and support. The successful candidate must be able to deliver results through influence, maintain strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders, and foster a collaborative team environment.

Job Requirements

  • Team Leadership: Manage and develop a team of four finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback
  • Financial Reporting & Consolidation: Consolidating and analyzing actual results, forecasts, and business outlook from all plants and non-plant entities and prepare periodic Operations review packages for senior leadership
  • Business Partnering: Work closely with the Director of Operations Finance and other senior managers to provide financial support and strategic insights
  • Financial Commentary & Analysis: Develop and deliver clear, actionable commentary on manufacturing productivity, production costs, output, and the cash flow impact of inventories and capital expenditures
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the AMS Operations budgeting and forecasting process, including consolidation and alignment with regional and global targets
  • Spend Control & Governance: Review and monitor operational spend, maintain an effective control environment, and implement countermeasures to address excess spend while ensuring productivity commitments are met
  • Annual Recosting: Lead and coordinate the annual recosting process for all AMS plants, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate standards and across plants
  • Strategic & Operational Projects: Own and support ad-hoc strategic and operational projects as required, driving initiatives that enhance financial performance and operational efficiency

What your background should look like

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or professional certification (CPA, CMA) preferred
  • Experience: 10–12 years of progressive experience in Finance, with strong exposure to manufacturing or operations environments.
    Multi-national experience and consolidation experience across multiple manufacturing sites
  • Technical Skills: Extensive MS Office knowledge, particularly Excel. Experience with ERP and reporting systems such as SAP, SAP SAC, Hyperion
  • Leadership & Communication: Fluent English communicator (written and verbal) with the ability to interact effectively and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization. Ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear and concise manner and relate to colleagues at all levels and locations
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Able to picture “simple” solutions to complex business scenarios involving multiple systems and accounting disciplines across regions. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task and shift priorities quickly

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $152,400 – $190,400 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
