Molding Operator II (5th Shift)

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Molding Teams operate assigned automated molding machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

What your background should look like:

Operate and maintain injection-molding presses to standard rate and check product being produced to specified Quality Inspection Plan to assure conformance to requirements.  Follow 5S Housekeeping requirements to ensure work area is neat and orderly.


•    Visually inspects molded product and gages product per the Quality Inspection Plan and the mold book.
•    Packages completed product per the packing process sheet – this includes weigh counting, filling totes and labeling product to ensure count accuracy.
•    Completes required paperwork to report production, scrap, downtime, problems and issues related to the equipment and labor reporting.
•    General housekeeping of work area.
•    Follow company and department guidelines, procedures and policies.
•    Follows safety guidelines.
•    Other duties as assigned.


•    HS diploma or GED
•    Basic computer skills.
•    Good communication skills
•    Ability to interpret product blueprints preferred.
•    Ability to multitask and prioritize work to successfully accomplish job duties.
•    1-year prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
•    Lifting up to 40 lbs.
•    Pulling and pushing molds using a crane or a mold cart.
•    Use of ultrasonic cleaners and aerosol mold cleaners.
•    Bending, twisting, turning
•    Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
•    Must be proficient in the English language
