TE Connectivity in Greensboro, NC is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to conduct daily audits of the manufacturing processes to ensure all safety, quality, and process standards are being followed. Tooling Improvements and enhancements. Print review. Ensure that the processes run by the manufacturing team are performing at the designed efficiencies. Responsible for improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost through the use of the TEOA tools and philosophy. Work closely with the launch organization on the introduction of new products. Ensure that an effective communication with all interested and needed parties to complete projects on time and on budget. Evaluate all projects for effectiveness. Lead and support equipment troubleshooting efforts as they arise with the ability too efficiently and independently work with various U.S. and global suppliers. Maintain and/or support all related process documentation, not limited to but including repair logs, manuals, drawings, and procedures. Support new program launch development efforts for new products, product extensions, and equipment releases into the plants. Participate in product and equipment design reviews for the purpose of developing a robust product and manufacturing process. Prepare and obtain quotes and materials needed for manufacturing equipment changes or improvements. Work from verbal instructions, sketches, blueprints, or other TE departmental input such as TEOA toward process changes or improvements. Be able to work and act in a professional manner with all levels of associates and interface with customers as required. Utilize experience-knowledge of automation and robotics for molding process. Utilize experience with LSR and Thermoplastic Molding process.

 

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or foreign equivalent), plus 2 years of experience in the job offered, or in a related occupation.

 

Special Requirements: Requires 2 years of experience with the following:

  1. Mechanical designing.
  2. Robotic and Automation.
  3. Molding process.
  4. Tool design.
  5. Process/Manufacturing improvement.
