Job Overview
The Accountant I provides timely and accurate record-keeping and reporting for R2R processes, processes the Accounting Department’s transactions, including recording transactions, preparing reports, fact-checking, filing, maintaining accounts, resolving discrepancies, and performing other duties as needed.
**THIS IS AN HOURLY POSITION LOCATED AT THEIR GRAYSLAKE, IL FACILITY**
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable – Matches receivers to PO’s and invoices, enters accounts payable into system, processes e-Checks, ACH and wires, prepares monthly AP aging
- Accounts Receivable – Enters and applies cash receipts to accounts receivable, prepares monthly AR aging, makes collection calls, processes credits and billing adjustments
- Records financial transactions into database; ensures compliance with processes, procedures and policies
- Posts entries, verifying and reconciling input to financial reporting systems.
- Processes complex payments and assists in preparation of billings and other financial reports
What your background should look like
- Associates Degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or 2+ years related field preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced math skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
- Familiar with an ERP system.
- Ability to work independently.
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires sitting for extended periods, bending, walking, talking, and arm and finger movement.
Work Environment:
- Work performed in an office environment.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $56,100($29.98 an hr)- $84,200($40.48 an hr.) (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
