Key Responsibilities
Sales Growth & Channel Strategy
- Drive revenue growth across the India channel business in alignment with global and BU priorities
- Define and execute a strong partner strategy, including segmentation, development, and optimization of the partner portfolio
- Set clear growth expectations with partners based on market, application, and customer opportunities
Gross Margin & Commercial Discipline
- Own gross margin performance through pricing discipline, partner mix optimization, and governance
- Partner cross-functionally (pricing, finance, BU teams) to balance competitiveness with margin quality
- Monitor inventory, demand signals, and sales performance to improve efficiency and reduce leakage
Partner Leadership & Demand Creation
- Build and lead strategic relationships with key partners through structured governance (QBRs, scorecards, opportunity reviews)
- Drive demand creation through distributor networks, improving pipeline quality and conversion rates
- Lead customer-facing initiatives such as technology days and joint engagements
Operating Cadence & Execution
- Establish a strong operating rhythm including weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reviews
- Track and manage KPIs across sales, pipeline health, conversion, service levels, and margin drivers
- Identify performance gaps and lead corrective actions across internal teams and partners
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the local business owner for all customer-facing and commercial activities in India
- Lead across functions such as sales, pricing, customer care, operations, and supply chain—often through matrix relationships
- Identify and resolve constraints (e.g., pricing, service levels, inventory, lead times) to enable growth
- Balance global frameworks with local market needs, influencing stakeholders to adapt as required
Global Integration & Market Insight
- Align closely with regional and global leadership to ensure consistency and performance visibility
- Provide market insights on competition, customer needs, and product opportunities
- Translate global strategies into locally relevant execution plans
People Leadership
- Build and develop a high-performing, future-ready channel organization in India
- Ensure the right capabilities, structure, and culture are in place to support growth and scalability
Who You Are
You are an experienced, enterprise-level leader who thrives in complex, fast-moving environments and brings both strategic perspective and commercial depth. You combine big-picture thinking with a strong sense of ownership and execution.
- You have operated at General Manager or equivalent level, with accountability for significant revenue and full P&L ownership
- You bring strong channel and distribution experience, understanding how to scale growth beyond direct sales models
- You have worked across multiple business units, segments, or markets, enabling you to connect diverse perspectives and drive aligned outcomes
- You are comfortable operating in ambiguity, making decisions with imperfect information and adapting as conditions evolve
- You have a proven ability to influence without direct authority, building trust and alignment across complex stakeholder landscapes
- You are skilled at navigating organisational complexity, balancing competing priorities while keeping the business moving forward
- You have a track record of delivering measurable impact quickly, identifying where to focus and “moving the needle” at scale
- You are a strategic relationship builder, able to engage and influence senior stakeholders both locally and globally
