Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.


  • In the development of product, the target cycle time and investment cost are established for optimal production by reviewing the process and key control points of the product as CFT members.
  • Develops, implements, and maintains methods, operation sequences and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
  • Coordinates with engineering on release of new products.
  • Estimates manufacturing cost, determines times standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements.
  • Maintains records and systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.


Job Responsibilities


  • Design and set-up the tool for proto sample to meet customer requirements and schedule.
  • Advance check and review the process for prevent problems before the mass production during proto sample production.
  • Transfer machine and tool for mass production to operator with related training and documents after machine set-up.
  • Analyze process cycle time, work methods, and types of defects to improve productivity.
  • Prepare machine validation data and documents related to production according to set-up of mass production machine.
  • Develop new technologies by collaborating, investigation and reviewing internal or external products and production lines for maximum productivity in order to meet the customer’s needs.
  • Create an initial process map and identify best suppliers and new technology trends to create a competitive tooling cost.
  • Create new ideas and apply new technologies with team members to solve customer complaints or quality problems within the process.
  • In order to improve productivity, cost saving, manpower saving and quality improve, it is possible to achieve the goal through innovative CFT or TEOA activities.

What your background should look like:


 Competencies & Skills 필요 역량&기술

  • 3D design tool experience (+ Auto CAD)
  • APQP process knowledge and documents experience (PFMEA/Control Plan/MSA etc)
  • Strong Project Management skills, planning, prioritizing and goal setting expert knowledge in mechanical design and manufacturing process.

  • At Least, 10 + years’ experience for the Manufacturing engineer.
  • Machine design experience with 3D tool.
  • Industrial engineer knowledge and APQP Experience
  • Process analysis and improve experience


Education 필요 학위(전공)

  • 4-years Mechanical design engineering degree required.
