Job Description
TEOA (TE Operating Advantage) is a company-wide program aimed at improving our business performance by applying best practice improvement tools to become more efficient and effective so that we can be more productive, satisfy our customers and deliver more value to our shareholders. The CI (Continuous Improvement) Practitioner will be responsible for leading operation and Lean manufacturing activity throughout the assigned Value Stream to eliminate waste and create systems that are flexible, reliable, and responsive. Also responsible to foster the adoption of continuous improvement as a way life; creating a culture of change and to assist in defining and support standardized programs to educate employees in the principles of Lean Manufacturing
Job Summary
- Development of Site TEOA deployment plans consistent with business unit / region strategic and operational planning
- Support and mentor site based Lean Practitioners / Kaizen Facilitators to enable them to succeed in the TEOA deployment.
- Coordination of regional initiatives, across multiple sites in order to achieve consistency and standardization across business unit
- Manage and control individual project teams and deployment plans at multiple sites and all functional levels.
- Develop skill levels of practitioners and other site personnel in order to implement and sustain TEOA.
- Monitor progress against plans and achievement of continuous improvement and progression to higher star assessment levels.
- Lead the value stream project teams, develop value stream maps and execute the VS transformation plan for specific value streams to achieve the plant level TEOA metrics and goals
- Create, plan, drive and follow-up of the TEOA implementation plan and ensure TEOA actions are visual to stakeholders and are driven to a sustainable closure.
- Facilitate Kaizen events
- Account for predicted savings and track, validate and post to the financial operating results.
- Provide leadership on lean thinking, lean processing and lean production.
- Train team members, management and staff in all TEOA tools.
- Replicates examples of excellence across site and communicates this to other TEOA Practitioners within business unit.
- Ensure that the changes are implemented
Experience
•Have the patience, perseverance and passion to drive the TEOA culture across the plant
•Analytically minded and data-driven. The candidate must also have a holistic overview of complex situations and deal effectively with difficult issues when they arise
•General knowledge of Operations / Manufacturing processes
•Project Management experience is an advantage
•Knowledge of the manufacturing technologies: Stamping, Plating, Assembly, Molding
Qualifications
•Fluent in English and both written and spoken
•Lean knowledge and experience for process improvement
•High interpersonal and communication skills
•Strong analytical skills (Data driven, Statistical, Excel)
•Team player with a solution-focused problem-solving mentality
•Problem solving skills
