Job Overview

Shipping & Receiving Teams perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties. They use computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting incoming and outgoing shipments. They follow shipping practices and procedures, transportation routing, schedules and requirements. The Shipping & Receiving Teams receive incoming materials and prepare materials for shipment. They process freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents. They also route merchandise to destinations. The Shipper / Receiver will be responsible for loading and unloading of the incoming and outgoing trucks as required.  



Job Requirements

  • Loading and unloading trucks upon arrival as required.  Must stage material in designated areas or place in racks as required.
  • Completing data entry.
  • Prepares outgoing materials using a variety of methods including, but not limited to, scanning, labeling, wrapping.  Completes required paperwork to accompany outgoing materials such as Manifest and Intercompany Bills of Lading.
  • Maintain recycle cardboard by creating bales, weighing and recording on tally sheet.
  • Help in maintaining inventory in warehouse by completing row audits and investigating variances.
  • Receive incoming material in stores locations and SAP (ERP) warehouse management system
  • Responsible for the accurate transactions of materials in the ERP system.
  • Responsible for the inventory transactions of materials to factory orders and accuracy of weight.
  • Replenishment of stores locations daily, operating a manual floor lift truck to move pallets
  • Pull finished goods items for shipping, provide backup support for each other and for assigned areas
  • Process picks as required.
  • General housekeeping of work area
  • Routine maintenance/repair of equipment;
  • Report safety hazards, quality and production issues to supervision immediately;
  • Learns and adheres to workplace safety regulations. Participates in all job related safety training.
  • Other duties as assigned

What your background should look like

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Strong keyboarding and computer skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong Math skills.
  • Experience using SAP is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize work in order to successfully accomplish job duties.
  • Forklift Certification preferred; periodic recertification required.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must be proficient in the English language.
  • 1 to 2 years experience preferred.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $47,900 – $71,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
