Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products from information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operation Teams, Development Engineers or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, and cost, while meeting customer requirements and may support and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer requirements. They are the key experts in the products they are responsible for at TE.
The role will engage with the testing workflow in a laboratory environment, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality results. This individual will oversee technicians, interface with customers, and maintain the lab's equipment and safety standards. They will play a crucial role in reviewing test data, interpreting results, and producing formal reports.
This position requires a versatile individual who can balance technical expertise with managerial responsibilities in a dynamic laboratory environment. The ideal candidate will be able to ensure smooth operations, maintain high standards of quality and safety, and effectively communicate with both internal team members and external customers
• Manage testing workflow and schedule commitment dates
• Monitor all testing progress and assign tasks to technicians
• Review test data/reports and write formal reports
• Interface with customers to answer questions about work requested and test results
• Design and implement fixtures and various test setups
• Train technicians in proper test methods
• Develop automated testing systems
• Review incoming Test Requests (TRs) for accuracy and clarity
• Schedule new TRs and assign tests to technicians
• Maintain Lab Management System
• Maintain calibrations of all equipment
• Ensure proper equipment operation
• Maintain Safety Program
• Coordinate operations to ensure efficient lab functioning
What your background should look like:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering or Material Sciences and other related fields of study.
• Knowledge of fundamentals of electrical and mechanical theory as it relates to a connector laboratory environment
• Experience in designing and implementing fixtures and various test setups
• Ability to review test data, interpret results, and write formal reports
• Strong project management skills to handle workflow and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication skills to interface with customers and team members
• Experience in training and overseeing technicians
• Knowledge of automated testing systems and their development
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols
• Hands-on approach to problem-solving and willingness to assist with testing when needed
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Proactive attitude and ability to work independently
• Experience with laboratory information management systems (e.g., DigiLab) is a plus

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $69,000 - $103,500 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
