Job Overview

 

This position will closely partner with HR Business leaders to guarantee alignment in approaching business needs. The role requires one to effectively work with other HR functions to direct and ensure the successful delivery of HR services required to drive business imperatives within the Greensboro site and proactively seeks to identify and resolve issues driving HR operational excellence. The role will also be responsible for building the capability of the organization to be high performing and able to adapt, including change management, culture transformation and overall employee performance. They are responsible for TE's training and development strategy, ensuring skills and capabilities of employees meet the organization's current and future needs. They develop, implement, and evaluate training activities to meet TE's competitive position requirements, and are responsible for mentoring and training programs to establish a diverse and inclusive culture.
 

 

 

Responsibilities 

 

 

  • Understand business cycles and talent needs of the organization to develop human capital strategies to build the capability of the workforce to meet business goals
  • Provide coaching and consulting to the managers and employees in the areas of performance management, employee retention, talent planning, leader and employee development, positive employee relations practices, and conflict resolution
  • Champion and build manager capability to have great career conversations and develop diversified 70-20-10 development approaches (e.g., coaching, mentoring, buddy, rotation & etc.)
  • Act as a change agent and role model to drive technology and modern approaches to enable the transformation of learning and development experience for TE people
  • Support to increase capability to deploy people & culture processes, including employee engagement, culture initiatives, inclusion & diversity
  • Work closely with value stream managers for developing an operations training model and provide professional support in implementation and facilitate the evaluation of training effectiveness related to department
  • Ensure all employees have an effective orientation and appropriate assimilation
  • Facilitate trainings and workshops
  • Provide regular training updates / reports / analysis and drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis
  • Manage the site leave of absence/FML/STD, etc. 
  • Support and back up site HR Business Partner as needed

Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Preferably 5+ years training and development work experience in sizable Manufacturing or cross-culture / Matrix environment, or equivalent education or experience 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience  in employee relations, discipline, labor laws, FMLA, STD
  • Must have Human Resource experience within a plant/manufacturing environment
  • Experience partnering with business leaders in a matrixed environment requiring influencing skills
  • Must have an effective balance between strategic and tactical implementation skills
  • Expertise in training delivery as well as workshop facilitation is needed
  • Ability to act as a credible coach and facilitator and a credible role model for effective leadership and performance
  • Passionate and up-to-date understanding of Talent processes and practices
  • Hands-on program experiences in Leadership Learning, Performance Management, Talent Development, Culture Transformation, Inclusion & Diversity, and Employee Experience
  • Proven project management skill is required
  • Fast and agile learner with data mindset. Have a high level of interpersonal skills, process orientated

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $84,640 – $126,960 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
