FINANCIAL ANALYST

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Financial Planning & Analysis Teams develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. They perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. They gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts. The Financial Planning & Analysis Teams also perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.

This is a key role in supporting the Controller on site to improve site processes, maintain strong controls, and lead the business in overall continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Support the Controller in the drive of continuous improvement initiatives
- Support the Controller in standard costing
- Perform monthly variance analysis
- Investigate and report to the Controller any inconsistencies or improprieties
- Prepare financial reports, charts, tables, and other exhibits as requested
- Assist in the R&O and CF forecast process
- Demonstrate appropriate understanding/working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, and apply them
- Support the annual external audit activity
- Management of any internal audit and site self-audit activity
- Supporting Shared Service Finance, including AR and AP
- Other ad-hoc support as required

Knowledge and Experience Required:

- Experience in working with Sage systems & SAP is preferable.
- Studying or willing to study towards CIMA/ACCA.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (emphasis on Excel) is essential.
- 2-3 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment is beneficial.
- Experience working within a standard costing-based environment beneficial
- Organized and self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to actively participate in departmental and inter-departmental meetings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to utilize these skills at all levels, with both internal and external customers/vendors.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure, adhering to deadlines
- To be able to navigate and build data models (SQL, Python, PowerBI).
