Continuous Improvement Analyst

We are seeking a captain to lead our continuous improvement journey, guiding our onsite team safely to the destination of operational excellence.

Your daily tasks:

  • Report and analyze TEBIT Project performance to meet KPI requirements.
  • Implement and sustain continuous improvement in the TEOA program.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing and external contractors to improve efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
  • Create and implement manufacturing improvement programs for assembly areas, ensuring standards and processes are followed.
  • Lead, audit, and report on process deployment, including 5S, TIMWOODS, PIM, TPM, and technology/fixture implementation.
  • Monitor production readiness, define and document equipment needs (e.g., gauges, tooling), and provide training.
  • Define and provide training for best practices, ensuring cost-effective, repeatable, high-quality production.
  • Support production areas in achieving KPIs, offering solutions to challenges in quality and machine capability.
  • Facilitate smooth product integration into production by documenting tooling and gauging requirements.
  • Ensure budget costs are accurately captured and managed in the ERP system.
  • Initiate method improvement and cost-saving projects in production areas.
  • Collaborate with the TE NPI team to deliver new products right the first time, using best practices.
  • Implement TEOA requirements and Centers of Excellence (COE) using Best Demonstrated Practices (BDPs).
  • Manage TEOA boards, 5S, Training Matrix, Synergy room elements, Kaizen, and apprenticeship programs.
  • Comply with Health and Safety regulations as per company and government guidelines.
  • Carry out other reasonable tasks as directed by the business.
     

What your background should look like:

  • Degree / HND Equivalent in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, industrial engineering, lean manufacturing
  • Extensive practical knowledge of manufacturing environments gained through experience in a production environment of a related industry.
  • The ability to project manage, run and trouble shoot production solutions on connector, cable or electrical assemblies and second operation processes.
  • Computer literate using Microsoft software.
  • Previous experience maintaining an ERP system, budget controls and reporting of project solutions.
  • Experience in ensuring quality and lessons learned with flow diagrams, Fish Bone, PFMEA’s, control plans, quality inspection plans and or lean manufacturing tools.
  • Identifies and recommends new or improved manufacturing processes and technical developments. 
  • Ability to use own initiative to ‘troubleshoot’ problems in Production areas as they arise using industry tools such as 5 why’s, fishbone diagrams and 8D reports.
  • Continuous improvement involving Quick Change Over (SMED), 5S+1, Mistake Proofing, TPM systems, Standards of Work etc.
  • Worked on capital investment projects and delivered results.
  • Experience of managing external resources and suppliers to the manufacturing industries.
  • Drive and passion to deliver results in a challenging environment. 
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be creative.
