OPERATIONS FINANCE ANALYST (F/H)

Job Overview

The Operations Finance Analyst reports to the Plant Controller and partners with the plant management team to drive operational improvements and give insights to production costs. In addition to helping improve operational performance, the role will be responsible for supporting forecasting process, month end closure activities, reporting actuals, variance analysis, and financial controls.

Key Responsabilities

  • Assists in the preparation of the Annual budget and provides financial analysis of performance versus the operating plan / forecast as well as trend analysis against prior periods
  • Preparation and review of recurring Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly analysis and reporting packages to ensure accurate and timely submission to local and regional management.
  • Month end closure activities including analysis and entry submission of journal entries to financial shared service centre in Poland 
  • Daily and weekly reporting of actual results against forecast and review with local management
  • Partners with Manufacturing Engineering in order to analyse Material and Conversion Productivity projects and tracks execution of pipeline. Reports productivity improvements adequately.
  • Prepares Capital Expenditure Requests for the plant, tracks execution with the requestors, and reports capital spend on a monthly basis.
  • Support the Plant controller on Inventory Management Analysis (including Scrap, inventory reserves reduction, NRV, Blocked stock, Inv. Adjustments, Cycle count and recosting impacts).
  • Prepares required financial analysis to support and guide business decision making, including understanding of the effectiveness of productivity, preparing data for footprint migration programs, and performing Make or Buy analysis.
  • Drive fact-based financial analysis and actions to support and improve the financial performance. Provides insight into costing structure and potential productivity improvements.
  • Preparation of ad hoc reports and analysis and take ownership of individually assigned projects 
  • Work with other Financial Analyst within the EMEA sites to share best practices in order to work as effectively and efficiently as possible.

What your background should look like:

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field. 
  • 1-3 years’ experience minimum working on a manufacturing plant.
  • Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international matrix organization. English required
  • Natural curiosity about business operations and processes
  • Must be highly organized and able to work under pressure
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently through a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Strong sense of responsibility and desire to hit deadlines
  • Positive and energetic approach with a “can-do” attitude
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to keep sensitive information confidential
  • Desire to strive for continuous improvement 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ERP systems, SAP-CO or equivalent is a requirement
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency, excellent spreadsheet skills (MS Office applications) required.
