Job Overview
The Training Lead will lead the Galway product builder training program, ensuring product builders achieve competence quickly, safely, and consistently. This role directly manages training coordinators and partners with production supervisors to maintain the effectiveness of job instructor delivery.
The Training Lead is responsible for program design, governance, standardization, and continuous improvement, ensuring training outcomes align with business, safety, and compliance goals.
This role will be an 18 Month Fixed Term Contract role to begin with.
Job Responsibilities (surmised)
- Own and continuously improve the Galway product builder training program framework.
- Standardize training processes, materials, and methods across all shifts.
- Ensure training practices comply with regulatory, quality, and safety standards
- Oversee use of the digital training system (LMS) for records, certification, and analytics.
- Manage and develop training coordinators, ensuring effective system support and training oversight.
- Ensure all product builders receive structured training that covers: Purpose and context of the role; Step-by-step instruction with hands-on practice; Safe-to-fail learning opportunities; Progressive competence assessments.
- Facilitate feedback loops from product builders, job instructors, supervisors, and coordinators to refine training methods and materials.
- Run workshops to simplify processes and integrate product builder suggestions into training content.
- Collaborate with operations and continuous improvement teams to align training with productivity improvements.
- Track and report training outcomes, including: Time-to-competence; Certification rates; Error/rework rates; Safety performance; Cross-training matrix coverage.
- Maintain product builder competence profiles to support workforce planning.
Qualifications
- Degree in one of the following: Training & Development; Industrial / Manufacturing / Process Engineering; Business or Operations Management, preferred.
Key Requirements
- 5+ Years of experience in training management, operations leadership, or workforce development.
- Proven ability to design and implement structured training systems in manufacturing.
- Strong coaching and facilitation skills with a focus on developing teams.
- Experience working with digital training systems (LMS).
- Familiarity with process improvement and safety practices.
