TE Connectivity's Environmental Health & Safety Teams ensure and monitor safety in the workplace. This includes the application and communication of health, safety and hazardous material standards, procedures and practices consistent with TE, environmental and government regulations.

The successful candidate will work within the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Team providing technical support on environmental, health and safety management systems and will report directly to the Campus EH&S Manager. 

  

Job Responsibilities
•    Develop, maintain, and lead environmental, health & safety programmes to ensure compliance with all applicable local regulations and TE Connectivity technical standards and best practices.
•    Develop, coordinate, and deliver EHS training programmes to all levels within the organization. 
•    Build relationships across the campus. Promote and drive a pro-active health & safety culture. 
•    Coordinate and conduct internal EHS audits and inspections, track timely completion of associated actions and continuous improvements. 
•    Assess and determine the introduction of new equipment, hazards, processes, chemicals, and layouts.
•    Identify, report and trend leading and lagging EHS metrics.
•    Determine and execute activities and projects to achieve the campus sustainability goals. 
•    Support the EHS accident and incident management process on site in accordance with HSA, OSHA and corporate requirements. (Incl. investigation, root cause analysis and corrective and preventative action management) 
 

What your background should look like:

•    Level 8 degree in EHS or related field. 
•    5+ years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in a regulated manufacturing industry.
•    A thorough knowledge of EHS legislation
•    Thorough knowledge of Environment, Health and Safety legislation and experience in EHS management systems. 
•    Must be an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work at all levels of the organization.
•    Self-motivated, results orientated and commitment to achieving objectives.
•    Proven ability to influence safety culture.
•    Computer skills, including proficiency in using common word processing software, excel, database applications, presentation software, and email.
