Job Overview

The Business Unit/Function HRBP serves as a business partner and trusted advisor to BU/Function leadership team members and their direct reports. Key responsibilities include:

Implements Human Resources (HR) policy at the Business level partnering with management to drive companywide programs and initiatives (i.e. succession, talent acquisition, total rewards and change management). In alignment with Business priorities and the company’s HR objectives, policies, and practices, the Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) will be responsible for providing a focused set of human resources activities in the areas of leadership, organization development, employee relations, employee engagement, talent management, change management and communications. The HRBP is a key player of the global organization and will support the business leaders as a strategic partner. The HRBP will serve as an influential business partner across TE, in support of business requirements. The HRBP should strive to achieve Extraordinary Customer Experience (ECE) as an ultimate result. This position will closely collaborate with other pillars of the HR operating model, being HR Centers of Excellence (COE) and HR Operations (OPS). In short, the HRBP is focused on the organizational design, the business and functional strategies and Talent strategies in the business, partnering with the businesses leaders to develop the high performance organization.

•Serving as part of the BU HR team to lead the delivery of strategic talent, organization design, and organizational effectiveness support across the Business Unit(s) and/or Function(s)
•Partnering with BU leadership teams to analyze and prioritize the critical business challenges faced by the organization and deploy appropriate HR interventions
•Coordinating effectively with the HR Solutions organization and HR COEs to effectively lead the successful delivery of the HR services required to drive the business imperatives of the BU and/or Function.
•Contributing to the realization of the HR operating model with the objective of continuously improving HR performance and enhancing HR’s ability to support the BU’s growth goals and objectives

Job Responsibilities


•Contributes to development and responsible for implementation and execution of HR strategies aligned with business strategies and needs. 
•Provide HR leadership to meet Business goals and objectives, in partnership with COE and HR Ops team.
•Analyze trends and metrics as they apply to client groups, develop proactive actions to further support business objectives and people strategy, think holistically. 
•Lead organization design, workforce planning, organization development and organizational effectiveness within the business, including Mergers & Acquisition and divestures. 
•Drive organizational culture towards TE value and CEO vision, unleash people’s potential through development and inclusion. 
•Take on strong influencing role balanced with needs for Business Strategy and TE Strategy, convey information to different audiences, able to deal with complex inter-relationship.


•Partner with the business managers to provide advice, creative problem solving and counsel on HR related business matters. 
•Manage facilitation of end to end processes for professional level recruiting and talent management. 
•Drive compensation planning process to ensure “Pay for Performance” guidelines are met. 
•Lead performance management process for business in efficient manner (objective setting, development planning, mid-year & year-end performance reviews, calibration). 
•Monitor employee performance by providing timeline coaching to achieve targets/metrics. Advocate and lead change management and facilitate organizational change by supporting managers to develop plans in line with business strategy. 
•Manage employee relations issues to ensure legal compliance and maintain a respectful working environment for the client group. 
•Collaborate with COE to meet business needs and provide business input to COEs on policies/tools required. 
•Understand HR operating model and ensure seamless execution and delivery to the business. Drive HR operational excellence through TEOA. 
•Develops a large personal network in organization, to be able to anticipate unexpected


•Leverage Organizational Leadership Review (OLR) and strategic succession planning outcomes/requirements to support the business. 
•Drive key talent development plans to strengthen the talent pipeline for all critical positions including stretched assignments, coaching or mentoring programs, professional & leadership training to retain and develop talent 
•Drive employee engagement through effective communication, programs, and alignment to development and growth opportunities. 
•Be the voice of employee in balancing the business needs with needs of employees so the business runs as effectively as possible. 
•Utilize various two-way communication tools to motivate employees to become involved and foster a collaborative culture. 
•Act as a coach and be a facilitator when needed. 

What your background should look like:

•Bachelor degree or above; HR related major preferred
•Minimum 15+ years of professional working experience in HR environment required
•Minimum 10+ years HR Generalist/HR BP related experience required; breadth of HR knowledge and skills in variety of fields in international context ( supporting 1 or more regions)
•Member of business leadership team
•Experience with Organization Design and Talent and Management 
•Experience working in global or international organizations required
•Functional Expertise: Talent Management, HR Operations, Compensation & Benefits, Employee Relations, Labor Relations (Works Councils, Unions, labor in various countries)
