Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

The role of Supervisor (SUP) within TE Medical reports to the Logistics Manager within Supply Chain Operations and will support the operation by completing some or all of the following tasks of which some are generic across multiple functions and some are specific to certain functions. They are responsible for ensuring that all physical tasks are recorded in the ERP system in a timely manner to ensure accurate data being available at all times to other departments. They are also expected to achieve breakthrough improvements in all Supply Chain Operations in the areas of cost, quality, customer service, GMP and all Health and Safety requirements.
The SUP is responsible for managing different teams and individual contributors within the Supply Chain Operations and will have complete responsibility for the management of all associated daily operations and will need to create, generate, implement and train SOP and WI to support the business.
The role will require interaction with all other departments on site as well as customers and suppliers and different global teams within TE Medical and TE Connectivity.
The SUP will deliver an agreed set of KPI’s ensuring that the department is meeting or exceeding all predefined targets as agreed.



  • Identifying and implementing systems and procedures to ensure materials are received, stored, counted, and transacted, as part of an inventory control process to achieve and maintain 99% plus accuracy within all areas of the operations.
  • Regular review of obsolete, expired and slow-moving items, together with purchasing, planning, engineering, and other relevant groups to manage inventory levels within the agreed target range.
  • Daily management of Supply Chain Operations personnel to ensure roles, responsibilities and priorities are identified and clearly communicated. Identify and provide necessary training, including cross training, to enable staff deliver agreed targets, and maintaining training records. Ensuring performance reviews, training and development plans are completed on time. Setting clear expectations in terms of attendance, time keeping, holiday planning etc. Responsible for updating, maintaining and approving all timesheets on T+A time management system.
  • Ensuring GMP and housekeeping standards are constantly maintained at the required levels. Ensuring department procedures are up to date, easily accessible, training up to date, and reviewed as business circumstances dictate.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the companies Health & Safety & Environmental policies relating to Supply Chain Operations, personnel, materials handling equipment, material / waste disposal etc. PPE requirements are understood and used where necessary and as specified, risk assessments are carried out and actions completed on time.
  • SUP will have responsibility for all internal, regulatory or customer audits ensuring that all actions are addressed in the SmartSolve system or within the H+S Velocity system.
  • Management of the 5S+1 audit actions raised as part of the weekly audit in each area and ensuring that Supply Chain Operations results are in line with the plant goal of achieving a 5 Star level within TEOA.


  • Strong leadership and people management skills and the ability to deal with and manage many different people at different levels of experience and knowledge.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong team ethics. Build and maintain productive working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work across organisations to get best results.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Supply Chain Operations related experience in Shipping or warehousing an advantage.
  • Ability to lead and manage change both functional and technical.
  • Computer literate, SAP, Time and Attendance and Microsoft Office suite experience would be an advantage.
