We’re looking for a passionate and collaborative leader to shape the future of digital manufacturing at our Galway site. As the Digital Factory Lead, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our digital strategy to life—leading the deployment and long-term success of the HydraX Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
In this role, you’ll partner closely with teams across Operations, Engineering, Quality, IT, and Global Digital Factory to embed smart, scalable solutions into everyday manufacturing. Your work will directly enhance how people, processes, and technology come together—delivering meaningful impact in a highly regulated environment.

What you will do
- Turn global digital manufacturing strategy into a clear, actionable roadmap for the Galway site, driving performance, adoption, and value.
- Act as the site’s key connection point across global teams, local leadership, and external partners—ensuring collaboration and alignment.
- Lead end-to-end MES deployments, from early planning through go-live and stabilization, with a strong focus on people and process readiness.
- Create structured, well-managed project plans—balancing timelines, risks, and business priorities to deliver successfully without disrupting operations.
- Foster a culture of shared responsibility by engaging cross-functional teams and keeping stakeholders informed and aligned.
- Work closely with Operational Excellence and Lean teams to ensure processes are well-designed, consistent, and ready for digital enablement.
- Champion change management—supporting teams at all levels to confidently adopt new systems and ways of working.
- Build strong engagement on the shop floor by embedding MES into daily routines and decision-making.Identify opportunities for improvement, addressing gaps in processes, data quality, and system use to ensure long-term success.
- Mentor and support a network of MES Key Users, building internal capability and confidence.
- Collaborate with Quality and Validation teams to ensure solutions meet regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Share insights and best practices to continuously improve and scale digital initiatives globally.
What your background should look like
- Experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, IT, or a related field (education or hands-on).
- Exposure to MES or digital manufacturing in a production environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to lead change and support teams through new ways of working.
- Organised, with solid problem-solving and project management skills.
- Confidence making balanced, risk-aware decisions.
- Clear communicator, comfortable with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Passion for continuous improvement, quality, and data integrity.
- Experience in regulated industries and knowledge of MES/SAP is a plus.
- Commitment to developing others and building team capability.
- Flexibility to travel when needed.
