Job Overview

 

TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.

 

TEOA is TE Connectivity’s Operational Advantage system.  As a TEOA Leader you will lead teams to execute continuous improvement in manufacturing, operational processes and business functions aligned with business priorities. You will coach the use of daily management processes that sustain progress and enable effective problem solving every day.  

 

You will be primarily responsible for implementing Lean Principles at TE Connectivity.  You will already have several years of lean manufacturing experience and be looking to develop your lean career to a new level. You will be focused on delivering results by supporting teams directly at Gemba to improve their processes.

What your background should look like:

 

  • As part of the TEOA team you will support the business & operations functions to identify & execute improvement opportunities in operational/manufacturing processes to achieve business KPI’s (eg Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, Inventory)
  • Develop & execute a kaizen funnel that ensures structured and sustainable improvement is made continuously.
  • Be a hands-on mentor coaching teams to implement lean tools and techniques. 
  • Deliver training to operations teams and support function teams on lean principles as necessary.
  • Provide direction, Coaching & facilitation to teams to improve their work processes thru structured lean tool kaizen events.
  • Coach & train problem-solving skills, develop site wide problem solving capabilities.
  • Direct, Facilitate and lead Kaizen events that create high levels of associate engagement by putting associates at the center of improvement activities.
  • Effective deployment and sustainment of gemba focused daily management system (PIM -Process Improvement Management).
  • Support development of TEOA tools and deployment methods.
  • Conduct Gemba based analysis & observations.

Tasks and Experienced Required:

 

  • Level 8 degree qualified ideally in Lean Operations, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • 3+ years Manufacturing/Lean experience.
  • Deep Knowledge of Lean Systems & Methodologies.
  • Experience running highly engaging and results focused Kaizen activities.
  • Proven Experience / demonstrated results with lean tools & techniques.  
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, motivational and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills & experience coaching same.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the company.
  • Experience of deploying Lean in an NPI/NPD R&D environment an advantage.
  • 3P, Visual Project Management experience an advantage.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work priorities in response to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ensures adherence to quality and safety standards with all improvement efforts.
