Job Overview

This position within TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams is pivotal, focusing on design aspects, particularly in electrical/controls or PLC programming. These teams play a critical role in LEANPD driven new product development projects, striving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies while implementing new ones to enhance process and tolerance control. Acting as the bridge between product development and manufacturing engineering, they ensure seamless collaboration, effectiveness, and efficiency in operations. Responsibilities include optimizing designs for manufacturability, developing and qualifying tooling and processes, and continuously improving quality, cost, and cycle time. Compliance with specifications, regulations, and customer requirements is paramount.

Responsibilities

•    Design and implement control systems for Industrial Automation equipment, emphasizing from concept to PLC programming debugging.
•    Research and address process issues, offering technical support to production, and maintain high-quality standards in alignment with Medical Devices manufacturing requirements.
•    Manage external relationships with technology providers and generate support documentation, including BOMs and manuals.
•    Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.

What your background should look like:

•    Engineering degree or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years' experience in control systems.
•    Strong competence in electrical system diagnosis and debugging from physical infrastructure level all the way through to software level
•    Self-motivated with strong decision-making skills and excellent communication, planning, and organizational abilities.
•    Proficiency in Sysmac Studio, IEC 61131 compliant PLC programming, and control system design using EPLAN.
•    Familiarity with CE Standards and demonstrated leadership or collaborative experience within teams.
