Job Overview

The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes, products, and systems meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role focuses on continuous improvement, problem-solving, and driving compliance to customer and industry specifications.

Job Requirements

  • Quality Assurance & Control:
    • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes for manufacturing operations.
    • Monitor production activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
  • Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Actions:
    • Investigate product and process non-conformances using tools such as 8D, Fishbone, and FMEA.
    • Drive corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Documentation & Compliance:
    • Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and quality reports.
    • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to improve process capability and reduce defects.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Supplier Quality:
    • Work with suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure incoming material meets specifications.
    • Participate in supplier audits and qualification processes.
  • Training & Support:
    • Provide training to production teams on quality standards and best practices.
    • Act as a technical resource for quality-related issues

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools (SPC, PPAP, APQP, MSA).
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
  • Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certification.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and quality management software.
  • Ability to lead projects and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Team player / Teamwork mindset
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • History of working in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to react to situations and communicate solutions to people with varying levels of product/ process knowledge.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $92,000 – 100,00 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
