Job Overview

In this role, you will be part of TE Americas' Smart Grid team, helping bring smart grid solutions to distribution utilities and OEMs across North and Latin America. You will drive growth by identifying market opportunities, shaping differentiated solutions for the Americas region, and partnering closely with commercial, sales, engineering, and supply chain teams to position TE Energy as a leader in smart grid solutions. You will also help define how our offerings create customer value through stronger reliability, grid modernization, and commercially compelling solutions tailored to regional market needs.

 

Main Responsibilities: 

 

Commercial tasks:

  • Collaborate with Business Development Managers (BDMs) to develop go-to-market plans that include target markets, priority accounts, revenues goals, and objectives
  • Define regional pricing strategies aligned with global PM function guidelines
  • Monitor and report on business performance, including bookings, billings, and backlog
  • Build customer intimacy through regular customer visits, participation in industry trade shows and events, and support development of thought leadership across the region

 

Strategic tasks:

  • Develop and maintain a 5-year growth plan including product roadmap, TAM/PAM/SAM analysis, to achieve revenue and margin targets across the regional portfolio
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive activity that may influence product requirements across utility and industrial markets in Northa and Latin America

 

Product Management tasks:

  • Create user stories that connect product features to customer needs and capture current use cases from existing customers
  • Translate market needs, voice of customer (VoC), and product gaps into sustaining and new product introduction (NPI) proposals and Product Requirements Documents (PRDs)
  • Build business cases for NPI/sustaining initiatives, and partner with the global Product Management function to drive execution
  • Work cross-functionally to coordinate key internal stakeholders, including customer support, procurement, part creation, quality, and product samples management

 

What your background should look like:

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5 or more  years’ of experience in Product Management or similar role
  • Relevant product or industry experience in smart grids, Utility (Electric), or distribution automation
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on, results-oriented mindset
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to improve and shape processes
  • Demonstrated leadership and the ability to positively influence cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, both domestically and internationally

 

Preferred Qualifications:  

  • MBA, MEM, or similar degree preferred
  • Experience in hardware and software development for integrated solutions
  • International experience
  • Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $109,300 - $164,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
