Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets.
As a TE Product Manager MV Cold Applied Cables and Accessories, a typical day may include:

•    Managing and commercial leader for the cold applied medium voltage product line, life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities . 
•    Analyze market trends, voice of customer, competitors to develop the portfolio business/growth plan
•    Derive market and customer requirements to the products 
•    Develop Product Roadmap and initiates Development projects with Engineering team
•    Executes new product introductions and launch on time
•    Supports new account acquisition in Industrial and Utility Market segment
•    Manages product mix and price erosion
•    Develop regional specific part of the cold applied product roadmaps
•    Defines target costing, derives optimized pricing from the market and initiates cost out projects to improve profitability
•    Reduces obsolete inventory
•    Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers. 
•    Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product contract, and positioning. 
•    Direct Supervision of Product Specialist assigned to work with this product family.

What your background should look like:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, desirable Master Degree, ideally combined with MBA
  • 5+ years of experience in Project/Product management, ideally in Electrical Energy Environment
  • Agility to work in a Matrix environment  
  • Excellent communication skills to work in a cross-functional environment
  • Basic knowledge of Spanish language, intermediate a plus
  • Strong computer back ground in applications like Salesforce.com, MFGPro (a plus), MS Office
  • On demand business travel at ~ 20% of the time
  • Strong business acumen and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task and drive results in a dynamic, high paced environment
  • Ability to influence the business and build relationships both internally and externally
  • Creative, proactive, entrepreneur and innovative thinker
