MEMS R&D Engineer

Job Overview

The function of this position is to support new and existing MEMS processes. This requires an understanding of wafer foundry services and their strengths and weaknesses in regards to MEMS devices.  Expertise in process engineering, electrical engineering, and equipment engineering is needed.  Experimentation and process/product development requires someone with a hands on approach.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Responsible for sustaining existing MEMS products.
  • Responsible for developing new MEMS process modules and implementing them into the existing manufacturing line as part of a team.
  • Responsible for transferring the product to Manufacturing with high yields.
  • Responsible for new development on the fab equipment
  • Responsible for the transfer of MEMS products to 200mm wafers as part of a team.
  • Responsible for semiconductor equipment engineering.
What your background should look like:

SKILL SETS:

•    MEMS Sensor operation theory
•    Hands-on process development.  
•    SPC, FMEA, 6-sigma, proficiency with statistics
•    Familiar with chemicals used in the Semiconductor field & Chemical Safety Procedures
•    Must be able to design and carry out experiments requiring the assembly of custom fixtures, materials, etc.
•    Excellent Oral and Written Communication skills
•    Experience with semiconductor processing equipment is needed.
•    Electrical Testing, wafer probe, reliability testing


REQUIREMENTS:

•    BS in Science or Engineering
•    2 years semiconductor process engineering experience in a production environment.
•    MS Access, Visual Basic or C - not required, but a plus
•    SUPREM – not required, but a plus
