Job Overview

TE Connectivity is looking for a strong leader to manage the Global Engineering Auto Pressure Sensors team, provide engineering vision and strategy, steer and monitor all related product development work to enable business growth, ensure engineering efficiency and talent development.


Our Product Development Engineering teams conceive original ideas for new products and introduce them into practice. They are responsible for product development, and qualification from market definition through production and release; assist in the qualification of suppliers for new products to ensure suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services for new or improved manufacturing processes; conduct feasibility studies, testing on new and modified designs; direct and support detailed design, testing, prototype fabrication and manufacturing ramp up. 

  • Lead effectively the engineering team for TE’s Global Auto Pressure Sensor solutions.
  • Work closely and align with the business development partners, especially product management and sales, and interact with all other related disciplines.
  • Represent TE and provide ECE to external and internal customers.
  • Convert global/regional industry standards or customer-specific requirements into market compliant and fully validated product solutions, following an efficient product platform approach.
  • Actively support TE’s technology roadmap approach for the Auto Pressure Sensor product line and translate it into innovative product platforms with high level of reuse, scalability and cost efficiency.
  • Close cooperation with the related TESS core development teams in order to take over and integrate best-in-class sensing element technologies into automotive products.
  • Manage talent buildup and install/maintain a clear competence structure within the team; coordinate and cooperate with the involved process and customer engineering teams, marketing & sales.
  • Ensure a flawless execution of Automotive Pressure Sensors project developments and launches – fullfill the KPI goals in terms of timing, budget and quality.
  • Monitor, guide and meet business performance expectations for product engineering teams, fully support various engineering initiatives.


M.Sc. / PhD in mechanical or electrical engineering


Professional Experience:

  • 10+ years in Automotive Electrical/Electronics industry, at OEM or supplier side.
  • 5+ years in leading engineering development teams, demonstrated efficient and respected leadership style.
  • 10+ years in leading and  interacting with development teams, regional and global.
  • Strong system architecture, electronics and sensor technology knowhow.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex, new product platforms in sensors, electronics or other applications.
