Gathers financial information, analyzes them, and prepares financial reports that contribute to the plant's strategic decision-making.
Job Requirements
- Maintain and update standard costs for materials, labor, and overhead.
- Perform cost roll-ups for bill of materials (BOM) and routing updates.
- Analyze and report on purchase price variances (PPV), usage variances, and manufacturing variances.
- Support cost per unit analysis.
- Monitor and validate inventory transactions (raw materials, WIP, and finished goods) in SAP.
- Reconcile inventory balances and investigate discrepancies.
- Support physical inventory counting and cycle counting activities.
- Coordinate with Warehouse and Production teams to improve inventory accuracy
What your background should look like
- Possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- Possess strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- 3+ years of experience in inventory or cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP (SAP) systems
- Possess strong proficiency in Excel.
- Strong ability to give attention to detail and to perform multiple tasks at the same time.
- With strong communication and analytical skills
- Has a strong ability to work individually or in a team setting.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
