Job Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer II is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through the development, implementation, and improvement of manufacturing processes. This role focuses on process efficiency, quality improvement, and day-to-day production support while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Job Requirements

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes, workflows, and layouts.
  • Provide engineering support to manufacturing operations and resolve production issues.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities related to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Production teams to resolve process and product issues.
  • Support new product introductions, including process development, tooling, and documentation.
  • Analyze manufacturing data to identify trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support capital equipment projects, including justification, selection, and implementation.

What your background should look like

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience supporting production operations and resolving process issues.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certification.
  • Experience supporting automation or advanced manufacturing equipment.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $98-104K (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
