Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Assembly Teams operate assigned automated assembly machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Must be knowledgeable in electronic principles and be able to build assemblies and test from reading drawings and schematics.  Associate shall be responsible for performing the weld, assembly and adjust operations of the assembly cell in accordance with the applicable operating procedures required for assemblies in a cellular, just-in-time production environment.  Associate shall be able to work with small parts, tools, fixtures and microscopes.  Requires excellent manual dexterity and hand eye coordination.

Responsible for his/her quality, productivity, and for maintaining a safe work area and will be required to notify the supervisor or lead person immediately when any of the aforementioned are in question.

Must be able to read drawings and schematics and follow written instructions, perform basic math.  Must be able to set up and perform basic bench top tests.

Must be knowledge in electronic principles.  Prior training in small parts assembly, knowledge of spot welding or other attachment mechanisms a plus.

Duties include:

  • Primary assembly of electromechanical builds.
  • Soldering of production builds
  • Remove and replace SMT components
  • Wire and cabling assembly
  • RMA repairs

  • This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). You must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • SMT rework including 0603,0402,0201 package sizes
  • Through-hole lead soldering
  • Electronic box builds
  • Solder proficiency (J-Std-001/IPC610) preferred
