Job Requirements

• Monitor, operate, adjust, treat and process wastewater systems, including removing solids, monitoring Ph levels and chemicals to ensure treatment process optimization and system balance.
• Collect and sample wastewater throughout shift to ensure environmental standards are met.
• Perform routine inspection on chemical pumps and wastewater systems. Troubleshoot, repair, replace mechanical equipment.
• Perform daily tests of utilities and log results.
• Review laws and regulations regarding wastewater and treatment.
• Set up and operate various machines and assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.
• Use computer-controlled equipment to operate and monitor automatic or semi-automatic machines in the plating line.
• Use controls and adjust machine settings to complete more complex tasks according to specifications.
• Read and understand bill of materials and blueprints of drawings.
• Communicate with Cell Lead on all issues related to discrepancies on drawing or BOM.
• Inspect products and ensure they conform to specification and industry standards.
• Work closely with the Quality Control Department to ensure products meet Harger standards.
• Maintain productivity at levels that match or exceed production standards.
• Responsible for following safety rules as well as using safe procedures.
• Keep all tools and supplies in their work area put away in the appropriate location on a daily basis. Keep work area clean and organized.
• Operate a forklift/ Walk behind.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What your background should look like

• High School diploma / GED or equivalent preferred.
• Wastewater technician or operator certification required.
• 1-2 years of prior manufacturing and machine operator experience desired.
• Read and understand blueprints/drawings.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of various types of equipment such as air and power tools, rulers, gauges, micrometers, calipers, and tape measures.

    • Ability to identify quality issues.

Physical Requirements:

• Continuous standing, moving and reaching with arms and hand.
• Frequently walks, bends, lifts and carries items.
• Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

• Work performed in a shop environment.
• Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors.
• Exposed to moving parts and chemicals.
