Job Description: 

Work Environment:

•    Work performed in a shop environment.
•    Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors.

Job Overview

Work with Shipping and Receiving team members and plant management daily to ensure that all extreme length palletized/crated orders for each day are fulfilled and ready to ship.

Job Requirements

•    Follow company guidelines to select the most efficient and cost-effective way to ship all packages.
•    Complete all paperwork and ensure accuracy of orders to ship.
•    Review daily reports with Manager to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping/receiving schedules.
•    Expedite required quick turnaround orders by customers and Inside Sales.
•    Communicate with the Manager on all issues related to Pick Tickets
•    Maintain a clean and safe work environment 
•    Other duties as assigned

Hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

What your background should look like

•    High School diploma or equivalent required.
•    Good written and verbal communication skills.
•    Strong organizational skills.
•    Ability to work with little supervision after training.
•    Work in a team environment.
•    Attention to detail.
•    Background in working with wood
•    Comfortable with using hand tools safely – example; pneumatic nail/staple guns, circular saw, hammer, hand drills, nails, screws, etc. 
•    Experience operating a sit-down forklift (propane/electric) to move material around when necessary
•    Experience loading/unloading tractor trailers
•    Building wooden pallets and crates to enclose the extreme-length material for safe shipping to the customer
•    Basic math skills for effectively measuring various dimensions for crates and pallets to form fit around extreme length material

Physical Requirements:

•    Continuous standing, moving and reaching with arms and hand.
•    Frequently walks, bends, lifts and carries items.
•    Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $33,200 – $49,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
