Job Overview

Operates machines and tools used in manufacturing processes to achieve production targets. Assemble products for both internal and external customers.  

Job Requirements

  • Assemble parts as directed by Cell Lead.
  • Effectively monitor production equipment.
  • Read and understand bill of materials, blueprints of drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Communicate with Cell Lead on all issues related to discrepancies on drawing or BOM.
  • Maintain productivity at levels that match or exceed production standards.
  • Operate air and power tools, as needed.
  • Responsible for following safety rules as well as using safe procedures.
  • Work closely with the Quality Control Department during the assembly process to verify product meets specifications.
  • Empty the cardboard container and trash receptacles as needed.
  • Keep all tools and supplies in their work area put away in the appropriate location on a daily basis. Keep work area clean and organized.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What your background should look like

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer knowledge and familiar with Excel.
  • Read and understand blueprints/drawings.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to use hands,  bend and manipulate fingers and repetitively twist wrists.
  • Communicate effectively. Ability to Read, Write and Speak English.
  • Experience with various types of equipment, such as: air and power tools, rulers, tape measures and gages.
      • Ability to work independently.
  • Continuous standing, moving and reaching with arms and hands, for duration of the shift.
  • Frequently walks, bends, lifts and carries items.
  • Frequently lifts up to 35 pounds. Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs.
  • Work performed in a shop environment.
  • Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $16.00/Hour (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
