Job Overview

Inspect incoming materials as well as manufactured products to ensure suitability for use for manufacturing and shipments to customers.    

Responsibilities

Inspect incoming materials:
Take basic measurements to verify against packing slip, NAV item description and blueprints.
Obtain and review material certifications as required by inspection plans. Verify that the certificates match Harger specifications.
Record data and scan documents as needed for manufacturing and quality.
Perform additional inspection on ”Enterprise Critical” items.
Notify the Quality Manager of any discrepancies on incoming inspection or quality concerns on products.
Perform shop audits.
Create SOPs and maintain quality department documents.
Create reports based on weekly audits.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Other duties as assigned.

What your background should look like

•    High School diploma, or equivalent preferred.
•    Previous quality inspector experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
•    Ability to use and read a tape measure, caliper, micrometer, hardness tester and other quality control equipment for measurement and analysis.
•    Proficient in Microsoft suite such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
•    Excellent communication skills and organization skills.

Physical Requirements:

•    Continuous standing, moving and reaching with arms and hands.
•    Frequently walks, bends, lifts and carry items.
•    Periodically going up and down ladders.
•    Occasionally it requires lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs. 

Work Environment:

•    Work performed in an office and shop environment.
•    Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, and odors.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $39,400– $59,100 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
