Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

 

The Value Stream Manager for Solar Products will assess, guide and monitor the production across all manufacturing sites and supplier of TE Connectivity for all Solar products and customers of the Energy Business Unit.

 

Responsibility 


•    Communication and Coordination 
o    Monitors and guides the production across all manufacturing sites for all Solar products and customers.
o    Monitor the execution of Solar Projects and highlight deviations from milestones to guarantee project is delivered in time, quality and cost
o    Setup control points to highlight need for review, hold or escalation 
o    Continuously assess execution, highlight gaps in resources and capabilities, and support closing the gaps with personal intervention or pointing to the required resources
o    Actively interacts with all stakeholders:  Product Experts, Planning, Quality, Engineering, Sales & Customer Demand to maintain an active support team.
o    Represent Operations at Product monthly reviews where stakeholders align on actions and ensure customer deliveries are met.
o    Monitors the development of  Solar New Products and coordinate the introduction after industrialization 


•    Activity Leadership 
o    Lead activities with all key stakeholders, to develop a long term strategy that will simplify the solar value stream.
o    Ensure operational capabilities (skills and production capacity) are aligned with the long-term strategy to meet future product demand.
o    Coordinate the evolution of the footprint in the Americas region to drive a competitive advantage including the assessment of the required resources, competence and capabilities
o    Drive continuous improvement initiatives to identify and remove quality and productivity/yield barriers for nuclear production.
o    Responsible for multi-functional / cross-regional optimization of the Supply Chain from raw materials to finished products


•    Ongoing/Sustaining 
o    Validate the industrialization processes in accordance with MRL principles.  Inspect / audit processes at all production sites in accordance with product quality assurance.
o    Ad-hoc intervention to support factories and vendors in response to abnormal demands, capacity bottlenecks, stock-outs, supply shortages, logistics challenges
o    Monitor the supply side of raw material and align with procurement on any risk mitigation activity
 

What your background should look like:

•    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Supply Chain with 8+ years’ experience, including 3+ years’ leadership experience. Those without a degree, but who have equivalent experience, will also be considered.
•    Skilled in Value Stream Mapping in Manufacturing, supply Chain and Logistics 
•    Knowledge of Injection molding is a plus 
•    Experience in the field of renewable energy and sustainable footprint is a plus
•    Leadership - requires ability to lead, negotiate, take charge, and manage others in a collaborative way, in a fast moving and challenging environment
•    Strong Project Management & Communication Skills 
•    Experience in delivering presentations to Top Management 
•    Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful, with the ability to manage remotely

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $140,700 - $211,100 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
