Performs basic activities in the routine and preventive maintenance at facilities and on manufacturing machinery for assigned area(s).
Job Requirements
We’re seeking a Maintenance Mechanic III to handle preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for all plant equipment—mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic. Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Troubleshoot issues and reduce equipment downtime.
- Work with PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Direct Logic).
- Handle electrical wiring up to 480V 3-phase.
- Calibrate and adjust machines to ensure production quality.
- Recommend and implement equipment improvements.
- Use maintenance software to log work and track preventive tasks.
- Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized.
- Support safety, compliance, and company policies.
- Maintain reliable attendance; may work irregular shifts or be on call.
Skills & Abilities
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams and technical instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving ability.
- Operate facility systems (compressors, boilers, fire systems).
- Use logic to prioritize tasks and troubleshoot equipment.
- Basic math and computer skills, including spreadsheets and reporting tools.
- Follow instructions, document work, and use PPE appropriately.
- Communicate clearly with team members and other departments.
- Stay focused on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Able to work independently and take initiative.
What your background should look like
High school diploma or GED required.
Related work experience or training in mechanical/electrical systems.
Journeyman electrical license is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift/move up to 40 lbs frequently and up to 85 lbs occasionally.
Ability to stand, bend, reach, climb ladders, and use lifts regularly.
Must use hand tools, power tools, and computers.
Comfortable working in tight spaces, elevated areas, and throughout the facility.
Able to perceive sounds and exchange detailed information.
Visual and physical mobility required to safely move around the plant.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $57,600 – $86,300 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
