Logistics Manager

Job Overview

As a Quality and Reliability Engineer, you are responsible for;

•    Manage activity of the AMAS logistic team and drive for improved results
•    In charge of all inbound and outbound operations for AMAS region including import and export duties
•    Challenge existing logistic solutions to find the best options that will bring higher value for our customers and for our company
•    Drive kaizen projects to find freight saving opportunities
•    Map material flow existing in LAM and propose solution to rationalize warehouse space while optimizing LT to customers and cost reduction
•    Drive projects leading to packaging savings (implement new way of packing, define new packaging solutions)
•    Train and develop his / her team members
•    Work closely with Sales and Product management team to understand market evolution and propose optimal logistic solutions
•    Use lean management tools to improve KPI of his/ her responsibility
•    Partner with Supply Chain team (planning and purchasing) to implement milk run with key vendors, review MOQ and frequency of delivery

What your background should look like:

•    Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Business Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (or foreign equivalent). 
•    At least 5 years of experience in International Logistics, Transportation experience in a managerial capacity
•    knowledge in the business administrative fundamentals critical for the logistics management of critical pipelines, forecasts and product development, including Business Administration, Human Capital Development, Resources Optimization, and Strategic Integration and Balance. 
•    Effective partnership with functional areas such as engineering, sales, product management and operations
•    Solid experience managing cost reduction strategies, resource allocation, and new product opportunities
