Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Ampact Tool Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing AMPACT tools, ensuring they are functional and ready for customer use. This role involves disassembling tools, salvaging reusable parts, cleaning components, and accurately tracking repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tool Repair and Maintenance:
- Completely teardown AMPACT tools to assess and salvage reusable parts.
- Place all useful parts in the part washer and then transfer to the drying rack.
- Dispose of any non-functional parts in the recycling bin.
- Rebuild tools using necessary new parts and ensure proper functionality through testing.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all parts and components in the lab.
- Order new parts and components as needed to support repair operations.
- Customer Interaction:
- Track and document the number of tools repaired for each customer.
- Provide customer care with necessary paperwork for invoicing tool cleaning and repairs.
- Pack and ship repaired tools back to customers.
- Safety and Communication:
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with the manager and team members.
- Provide weekly updates regarding any issues or concerns related to repairs.
What your background should look like
- Skills:
- Strong mechanical skills with hands-on experience in tool repair.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in tool repair or related fields preferred but not mandatory.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 40lbs and move tools and parts as necessary.
- Prolonged standing and manual dexterity for tool assembly and disassembly.

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $53,800 – $80,700 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
