Job Description
Job Title:  Executive Assistant - VP GM Energy Americas
Posting Start Date:  6/25/26

At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world.

Job Description:

Job Overview

TE Connectivity is a global industrial technology leader — NYSE-listed, operating in over 130 countries, with 90,000+ people connecting power, signal, and data across the industries that shape the future. Our Energy Business Unit sits at the intersection of grid modernization, renewable energy, and industrial power: markets that are accelerating, not slowing down.

Energy Americas is one of the BU's most active regions — spanning the United States, Mexico, and Latin America, with a major manufacturing and leadership hub right here in Raleigh. The region is on a deliberate growth path, pursuing both organic expansion and strategic acquisitions, with a leadership team that moves quickly and expects the same.

This role sits at the centre of that engine. You will be the only Executive Assistant based in Raleigh supporting the VP & GM — which means you are the person who makes the office work. Not a title, not a task list: a genuine partner to a senior executive who travels extensively and depends on someone exceptional holding the fort, keeping everything moving, and knowing when to call it and when to handle it.

If you are the kind of EA who thrives on ownership, earns trust fast, and takes quiet pride in being the person a leader genuinely cannot do without — this role was written for you.

Job Requirements

Be the Anchor of the Executive Office

  • Own the VP & GM's calendar end-to-end — protecting strategic time, resolving conflicts across time zones, and keeping the day structured even when plans change mid-flight.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the executive office: triage inbound requests, filter with judgment, and ensure nothing important falls through the cracks while the leader is on the road.
  • Prepare the VP & GM for every engagement — briefing packs, pre-reads, background research, and talking points assembled proactively, without being asked.
  • Manage domestic and international travel with precision: multi-leg itineraries, visas, ground logistics, contingency plans, and on-the-go adjustments when things inevitably shift.
  • Handle expense management, internal approvals, and administrative workflows smoothly and on time.

Drive the Leadership Rhythm

  • Design and own the annual Americas leadership calendar — Quarterly Business Reviews, strategy sessions, leadership team off-sites, town halls, and all-hands events — coordinated across US, Mexico, and Latin American sites.
  • Run all meeting logistics end-to-end: agendas, materials, logistics, minutes, and action tracking so follow-through actually happens.
  • Maintain accountability on open items from key leadership meetings; keep the leadership team honest on commitments without being asked to.
  • Partner with the global Energy BU EA community to align Americas cadence with global operating rhythms.

Communicate with Impact

  • Draft and finalise executive communications for the VP & GM — employee messages, town hall scripts, business updates, milestone announcements — in a voice that is clear, direct, and human.
  • Build polished, executive-ready PowerPoint presentations for reviews, strategy sessions, and leadership forums, consistent with TE brand standards.
  • Own the Americas communications calendar and ensure content, cadence, and tone are consistent across all channels.

Handle Sensitive Matters with Absolute Discretion

  • Manage confidential information — including matters related to strategic transactions, personnel, and financial planning — with the discretion expected in a publicly listed company.
  • Support logistics for confidential executive meetings and sensitive stakeholder engagements, coordinating with Legal and Finance as required.
  • Maintain secure document governance and file management aligned with TE information security policies.

Make Raleigh the Place People Want to Come

  • Serve as executive host for visiting leaders, customers, and key stakeholders at the Raleigh site — ensuring a seamless, professional experience from arrival to departure.
  • Coordinate site visits across Americas manufacturing locations, including agenda, safety protocols, and employee engagement elements.
  • Partner with Raleigh facilities and the Americas office manager network to maintain a sharp, well-run executive environment.
  • Manage onboarding logistics for new Americas leadership team members joining the Raleigh site.

Work Smarter, Not Just Harder

  • Use AI-enabled tools (Microsoft Copilot and TE-approved platforms) to automate, summarise, and accelerate the administrative load so more time goes to the work that actually matters.
  • Champion excellent use of Microsoft 365 — Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel — to keep the team connected and informed.

What your background should look like

  • 8+ years supporting a C-suite or senior Vice President-level executive, ideally in a publicly traded, multinational, or industrial company.
  • A track record of supporting a leader who travels heavily — you have operated independently, made good calls, and kept things running without daily check-ins.
  • Experience handling confidential business matters with zero missteps: M&A activity, personnel decisions, financial information, or board-level communications.
  • Exposure to multi-country or multi-site operations is a strong plus; prior work in manufacturing, energy, or industrial sectors is an advantage.

Skills

  • Outstanding written communication — you can draft a board-quality message or a warm all-hands note with equal confidence.
  • Advanced Microsoft 365 skills: PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Excel, SharePoint. You do not need training — you improve the way others use them.
  • Genuine project management instinct — you track many things simultaneously, you do not drop balls, and you drive completion without being chased.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a meaningful advantage given regular engagement with Mexico and Latin American teams.
  • Comfortable navigating financial summaries, operational dashboards, and executive KPI reports — not to own them, but to work with them fluently.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant field not prescribed.
  • Professional EA credentials (CAP, PACE, or equivalent) are a welcome plus.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Trusted without question- People share sensitive information with you because you have never given them a reason not to. Confidentiality is instinct, not policy.
  • A step ahead - You anticipate what the executive needs before they know they need it. Your preparation makes their decisions look effortless.
  • Calm when it counts - When priorities collide and the calendar catches fire, you stay composed, reprioritise clearly, and keep everyone around you steady.
  • Energised by growth - An organisation that is changing fast and getting bigger is exciting to you, not exhausting. You build the plane as it flies — and enjoy it
  • Fluent across cultures - You move naturally between conversations with plant operators in Monterrey and senior leaders in Raleigh. Hierarchy does not faze you — people do.
  • Accountable to the detail - You consider accuracy non-negotiable. The right number, the right name, the right time. Every time — because in this role, the details are the product.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Real access- You work directly with a senior executive who values great support. No layers, no bureaucracy between you and the person you serve.
  • Front Row Seat-  You will see the strategy as it forms, sit in rooms most people do not, and understand the business at a level that few support roles offer.
  • Global Reach-  A role that spans the Americas — regular engagement with teams in the US, Mexico, and Latin America, with travel to match
  • A Growing Business - Energy Americas is on an active growth trajectory. As the business scales, so does this role — in scope, visibility, and responsibility.
  • Flexibility Where It Fits - We expect strong on-site presence at Raleigh — the executive depends on it. Within that, we offer flexibility where the role genuinely allows.
  • A Team That Invests - Competitive compensation, strong benefits, and a leadership team that understands great EA support is a strategic asset, not overhead.
