Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Custodian Teams maintain and clean manufacturing plants or distribution centers, specifically dealing with heavy-duty manufacturing cleaning.

What your background should look like:


The custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in assigned areas, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for occupants and visitors. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning duties and minor maintenance tasks as needed.

 

  • - Sweep, mop, vacuum, and/or scrub floors as required.
  • - Empty and clean trash receptacles on a regular basis.
  • - Dust and wipe down surfaces such as desks, tables, and countertops.
  • - Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and fixtures.
  • - Refill restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
  • - Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
  • - Maintain cleanliness of common areas such as hallways and lobbies.
  • - Perform minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and fixing minor plumbing issues.
  • - Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and submit requests for replenishment when necessary.
  • - Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • - Adhere to established cleaning schedules and prioritize tasks as needed.
  • - Respond to emergency cleaning situations as required
  • - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • - Proven experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred.
  • - Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
  • - Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • - Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
  • - Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and perform repetitive tasks.
  • - Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • - Strong communication skills and ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
  • - Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
  • - Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
  • - Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $28,320 – $42,480 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
