Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s R&D/Product Development Engineering Teams conceive original ideas for new products, introduce them into practice. They are responsible for product development, and qualification from market definition through production and release; assist in the qualification of suppliers for new products to ensure suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services for new or improved manufacturing processes; conduct feasibility studies, testing on new and modified designs; direct and support detailed design, testing, prototype fabrication and manufacturing ramp. 

Job Requirements

  • Collaborate with internal product and development engineers.

  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
  • This job description serves as a foundation for this role, with additional responsibilities and qualifications added to suit the specific needs of the WNC & EPS Technical Engineering support group.

What your background should look like

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in product testing or related field.
  • Proficiency in soldering techniques.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and ability to work with hands for extended periods.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite; experience with MS Project is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment with diverse backgrounds.
  • Flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities.
  • US citizenship or US lawful permanent residency status (due to ITAR restrictions).

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $65.900 – $98,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
