Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.


Fab Work Duties

Operators are responsible for maintaining Fab equipment, including cleaning, and keeping benches and tools stocked with the supplies they need. Wafer fabricators are responsible for monitoring the tools for proper operation and engage in quality control testing and measurements as needed. Fab Operators are responsible for performing any manual operations as needed to process wafers through various plating, etch or cleaning baths.

Cleanroom Requirements

Wafer fabrication operators have to wear special "bunny suits" to prevent their body's oils, skin flakes and lost hairs from contaminating the space and the products that they make. This includes but is not limited to wearing a full cleanroom coverall, hood, booties, shoe covers, face masks, face shields, goggles, and/or safety glasses with side shields.

Physical Requirements

Wafer fabrication workers are on their feet while they interface with machines and process baths and when loading supplies. They also have to lift supplies in and out of fabrication equipment and move items around the clean room. Typically, this involves lifting no more than 25 pounds and potentially moving 30 pound packages around. Fab operators are exposed to hazardous chemicals including HF and other acids and bases.

This Fab operator position requires a high school diploma or its equivalent Having an associate's degree is a plus. While experience isn't a requirement having six months fab experience is a plus.
