Job Overview

As our FMEA Moderator (m/f/d), you will play a critical role in ensuring effective risk identification and mitigation across product and process development.

This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from any location within Germany. 

Job Requirements

  • Play a key role in an interdisciplinary development team, supporting the planning, moderation, and documentation of design and process FMEA workshops to ensure effective risk identification and mitigation  
  • Provide Product and Process Risk Report aligned with automotive standards and customer requirements    
  • Monitor the effectiveness of FMEA actions, ensuring timely completion and escalating any delays when necessary  
  • Develop company-specific FMEA modules, helping to standardize and improve risk analysis processes  
  • Regularly review and update FMEAs, incorporating lessons learned into product design and production processes 

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field 
  • 3+ years of experience in the automotive industry, with a focus on design and process FMEA 
  • Strong knowledge of FMEA methodology and standards (AIAG-VDA, ISO 9001, IATF 16949) 
  • Proven experience with APIS IQRM Pro FMEA Software 
  • Excellent communication skills in English (German is a plus), with the ability to clearly explain technical information to various stakeholders 
  • Strong moderation skills, with experience leading and facilitating cross-functional teams to foster communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement 
  • Collaborative team player, able to work effectively across functions and cultures 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple FMEA sessions, and address complex issues 
  • Willingness to travel within the EMIA region to support FMEA activities
