Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

Job Purpose/Overview
The Global Supply Chain leader for the Relays, Contactors product and India will have worldwide responsibility for the value stream of this product family, including internal and external supply chains as well as governance of the Bangalore India plant in the Connectors value stream. Preferred location is in Fairview, North Carolina with some flexibility.  Plant locations include Fairview, NC, Mansfield, OH, Hauppauge, NY (Long Island), and Bangalore India and joint venture locations in Cochin, India and Shanghai, China   

Responsibilities Include:
    Optimize the use of systems and tools within the facilities supporting these products to insure that the appropriate processes are in place (and continually evolving) to advance the     state of the art in supply chain planning.

Talent assessment and management of the supply chain organizations across the plants in this assignment.  While this is a dotted line relationship, strong cooperation with plant        managers on assessment of talent, developing training and succession plans,  motivation of team members, and setting targets is critical for success

Drive actions to lower lead times, reduce inventory and increase customer satisfaction measurements.
Develop and implement delivery improvement initiatives to enhance product fulfillment satisfaction for HPG Products customers.  Improving ship to original schedule and ship to        customer request as well as reductions in average time of delay
Deploy strategies supporting the Business Unit’s free cash flow and Inventory Turns (DOH) targets.  Activities include extensive data analysis and interpretation to identify        improvement opportunities within the organization. HPG Global Supply Chain leader coordinates with individual plants to develop projects and strategies at each facility. Monitors        global business adjustments and aligns regional inventory availability with production and sales requirements.  Champion end to end kaizen activities to improve flow throughout the supply chain.  Optimize parameters such as lot-sizing.
    Drive the S&OP process across the plants – particularly the supply review process
    Work with global demand management team and product management team to understand forecasts and any strategic/tactical activities requiring support of supply chain
    Champion the supply review process at the plants (review of unconstrained forecast vs. capacity and labor available and actions to be taken based upon changes)
    Ensure inventory, labor, and capacity decisions are taken or escalated out of the supply review process
    Determine constrained billings forecast along with associated inventory and hours forecast
    Champion master planning / scheduling activities

    Champion processes and talent in the plants to manage the master planning & scheduling activities
    Insure an operations/planning handshake on the load across the 13 week horizon
    Review of any potential component shortages and appropriate actions
    Review processes for optimizing schedule
    Partner with operations on improvement activities
    Optimize freight costs
    Identify areas with requirements for improved vendor leadtimes, VMI agreements, etc.
