Job Overview
TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.
This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Primary Responsibility:
The Quality & Reliability Technician II performs various qualification, retention, and other required testing on relays and related parts and products within the Reliability Test Lab to ensure and maintain compliance with government and customer requirements.
Basic Functions:
- Conduct electrical, environmental, vibration and mechanical testing of relays and other products
- Prepare samples using hand tools and soldering
- Runs & gathers test data from various electronic and computer systems (oscilloscopes, DMM's, automated test equipment, etc.)
- Maintain the integrity of test results by complying with Corporate, Business Unit and local quality system requirements
- Coordinate maintenance and repair of electrical/electronic testing equipment
- Ensure all safety requirements and policies are followed
- Overtime and temporary shift in hours may be required at times
- May be required to prepare and/or assist in the preparation of Test Reports
- May be required to be trained to perform other Quality and Reliability functions as needed or deemed appropriate

What your background should look like:
- High school diploma required
- Preferred 2-year degree (Electrical or Mechanical preferred)
- 2 or more years of experience with mechanical, electrical, environmental, or vibration testing in a manufacturing environment
- Self-starter and willing to take ownership of issues/processes
- Fundamental / Basic Electrical, Electro-Mechanical Comprehension
- Measuring, Testing, & Reporting Skills for Test Regiment
- Good soldering skills and manual dexterity
- Ability to Read, Interpret, & Comprehend instructions and Designs (Internal & Customer Prints)
- Capable of following lab policies and procedures
- Aptitude for Learning & Problem Solving
- Strong verbal & Written Communication Skills
- Ability to work well with others of diverse backgrounds
- Basic Computer skills: including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, MS Project a plus
- Strong Work Ethic / Team Player
- Self-motivated and ability to work with minimal direct supervision
- Electromechanical relay knowledge/experience preferred
- Must be able to manually grasp, push, pull, or lift up to 30 pounds on a regular basis

COMPENSATION
• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $42,700 – 64,000(subject to change dependent on physical location)
• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
