Job Overview

The Training & Compliance Manager is a key business partner supporting Operations and Quality. This role is responsible for developing training strategies, ensuring regulatory and quality system compliance, and driving a strong culture of continuous improvement, safety, and operational readiness.

 

This position combines responsibility for talent development, training program design, quality management system administration, and regulatory compliance oversight (including AS9100 and customer requirements). The Training & Compliance Manager works closely with the Plant Manager, Quality Manager, HR, EH&S, Engineering, and cross-functional leaders.

Job Requirements

Talent Development & Training Leadership

  • Assess organizational skill gaps and training needs in partnership with HR and Operations to support workforce capability and strategic workforce planning.
  • Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs across shop floor, technical, leadership, and compliance areas.
  • Implement and continuously improve training methods using Lean/TEOA tools.
  • Oversee onboarding and role-specific certification processes to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate internal and external training resources, vendors, and subject-matter experts.
  • Drive a strong safety culture through EH&S training in alignment with legal and corporate requirements.

 

Training Documentation & Records Management

  • Maintain accurate, compliant, and audit-ready training records, documentation storage, and audit trails.
  • Ensure alignment with corporate records retention policies and customer requirements.
  • Track training metrics and KPIs; report trends and recommend improvements.

Quality Systems & Regulatory Compliance

  • Establish, implement, and maintain quality management system (QMS) processes to meet AS9100, ISO, FAA, DLA, and customer regulatory requirements.
  • Manage controlled documents, procedures, specifications, and change control systems.
  • Lead the Internal Audit program and conduct audits as needed.
  • Provide support for external and internal audits; coordinate planning, communication, and audit response actions.
  • Ensure timely closure of internal/external audit findings and corrective actions.
  • Support Management Review activities and ensure compliance with required inputs and documentation.
  • Evaluate risks, identify compliance gaps, and partner with departments to implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Facilitate internal training on quality requirements, processes, and procedures.

 

Operational & Continuous Improvement Support

  • Ensure training and QMS documentation support consistent and robust production processes.
  • Apply quality and process auditing methodologies to validate production conditions and compliance.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, EH&S, and HR to align training and compliance initiatives with site priorities.

What your background should look like

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in training, talent management, organizational development, compliance, or quality systems within manufacturing/operations.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100D requirements; lead auditor certification preferred or required within 90 days.
  • Experience managing training programs, documentation systems, and audit processes.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; able to influence and train at all organizational levels.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $90,500k - 135,800k annually (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
