Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

Key Tasks and Skills of the Job

  • Ensure correct picking of materials from system documentation.
  • Deliver any material to Operational areas within the factory as per the systems documentation.
  • Follow Company processes within the SAP ERP system to ensure system accuracy and integrity of items picked and delivered.
  • Ensure timely picking of materials and good housekeeping within the warehouse.
  • File and process paperwork within the area in line with system requirements.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, and store materials throughout the facility.
  • Maintain forklift certification and comply with all company safety requirements related to powered industrial truck operation.
  • Forklift experience is required; current forklift certification is preferred or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.
  • Must be able to push and maneuver carts and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach overhead.
  • This position requires standing/walking for extended periods of time.
  • Incident reporting in line with company EH&S guidelines.
  • Maintain safe working practices supporting the company's 5S +1 initiative.
  • Safety glasses, safety shoes, and appropriate PPE are required.
  • High School diploma or GED preferred.

 

Shift Schedule

7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday

 

Training and Work Location

  • Training will be conducted at the Fairview facility.
  • After successful completion of training, the regular work location will be: 150 Old Shoals Road, Arden, NC 28704

What your background should look like

Education / Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment physical testing.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with the Shipping team on shift as well as assembly/production operators.
  • Previous warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience preferred.
  • Forklift operating experience required; forklift certification preferred.

 

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry a maximum weight of 30 lbs safely and dependably.
  • Must be able to push a maximum weight of 81 lbs safely and dependably.
  • Must be able to pull a maximum weight of 88.8 lbs safely and dependably.
  • Frequently required to extend arms and hands between knees and shoulders; frequent holding and grasping with hands.
  • Frequent standing and walking are required in this job.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $34,400 – $51,600 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
