Job Overview

TE Connectivity has a new Quality Inspector opening for our manufacturing plant in Fairview, NC.  This is a first shift job opportunity with working hours of Monday - Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm.
The successful candidate will have prior similar experience of inspecting small parts and must be comfortable wearing proper PPE, Personal Protective Equipment, (Steel Toes Shoes and Safety Glasses with side shields) during 8 hour shift.

TE Connectivity's Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure product and / or product components comply with specifications and quality standards. They test and inspect products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability, and to determine the suitability of product release. 

Responsibilities

•    Perform initial incoming inspections on vendor supplied components
•    Perform First Article Inspections and communicate with engineering teams for approvals
•    Use standard inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, pin gages and visual inspection tools
•    Inspect product from production or suppliers
•    Perform Inspections on product that will be shipping to customers to ensure that all the Quality requirements are met.
•    Establish daily priorities and determine the most important tasks to perform at any given time of the day
•    Use various software applications including Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word and SAP
•    Ability to send and receive data instructions via E-mail using the above applications
•    Communicate the results of inspections to Engineering, Inspection and Management
•    Ability to work with and communicate with various engineering and production personnel
•    Work with production personnel to trouble shoot and problem solve issues related to inspection of components or other similar problems

What your background should look like:

•    High School Diploma or GED required.
•    Minimum 1 year relevant experience in a production / inspection environment.
•    Experience with similar products (electronics, connectors, other electromechanical products) preferred.
•    Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
•    Good interpersonal and communication skills
•    Ability to work independently
•    Ability to work within team structure and assist other team members as needed
•    Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
•    Must be able to stand for a period of 2 hrs.
•    Knowledge of SAP is preferred but not required
 
This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).   Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.
