Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality Control and Reliability Teams ensure product and/or product components comply with specifications and quality standards. The team tests and inspects components, piece parts, sub-assemblies and final products against performance and integrity criteria to ensure product quality and reliability.


Primary Responsibilities:  

•    Perform visual and mechanical close tolerance inspections on material and piece parts in accordance with applicable quality requirements and standards.
•    Follow all company policies, guidelines and procedures.
•    Read and interpret design prints and customer requirements.
•    Geometric Tolerancing and use of various inspection tools and equipment including but not limited to:
  o    Micrometers
  o    Vernier Calipers
  o    Comparators
  o    Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)
  o    Digital Optical Comparators
  o    Microscopes
  o    Starrett Gauges
  o    Thread Gauges
  o    Multimeter
•    Perform First Article Inspections
•    Support shipping department with Job Packet Review and other documentation as required.
•    Read and interpret documents such as policies, procedures, dimensional requirements on drawings and other materials related to the position.
•    Use verbal and written communication to exchange information required to complete essential duties and responsibilities.
•    Problem solve in an efficient manner.
•    Complete detailed written or verbal instructions from management or others.
 

What your background should look like:

Required Qualifications:
•    High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, and two years of related work experience.
•    Basic computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access.
•    Experience using a microscope, preferred.
•    Experience using various measuring tools including, but not limited to, micrometer, caliper, tool scope, snap gauge, and scales preferred.
•    Experience reading and interpreting documents such as policies, procedures, drawings, and other materials related to the position. 
•    Ability to interpret dimensional requirements on drawings and specifications.
•    Have a quality mindset. 
•    General understanding of Statistical Process Control

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $38,240 – $57,360 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
