Job Requirements

• Set up and operate extrusion equipment according to production schedules and work instructions.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust process parameters such as temperature, pressure, speed, and material feed rates to ensure product quality.
• Inspect products throughout the production process and perform quality checks using required measuring equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Load raw materials and monitor material usage.
• Complete required production and quality documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S and housekeeping standards.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and assist maintenance personnel with repairs when necessary.
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and company policies.
• Communicate production issues, equipment concerns, and quality matters to supervisors and team members.
• Assist with changeovers, startup, and shutdown of extrusion lines.
• Package, label, and prepare finished products according to specifications.

What your background should look like

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous manufacturing or extrusion experience preferred.
• Experience operating industrial machinery and production equipment is a plus.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Understanding of extrusion processes and manufacturing principles.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, production schedules, and specifications.
• Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and scales.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and stooping.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, heat, and moving equipment.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and production facility.
• May require overtime, shift work, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and safety shoes is required.
