Job Overview

We are hiring a manufacturing engineer (m/f) to join our team in Evreux (27). You will integrate TE Connectivity’s Aeronautical, Defense & Marine business unit.

The manufacturing engineering member reports directly to the manufacturing engineering manager of all the assembly lines of the plant. Your main missions are:

Responsibilities & Qualifications

As a part of continuous improvement process:

  • Implement technology watch, conduct research on new processes and coordinate their developments.
  • Enrich the technical knowledge of the existing processes and the rules of the art, contribute to their proper implementation.
  • Propose and pilot reengineering, cost / cycle time reduction and quality improvement actions.
  • Contribute to the definition of industrial strategies on manufacturing processes.
  • Define and integrate production routings in SAP.
  • Coordinate documentations tasks linked to production.
  • Pilot and promote PFMEAs on existing processes.
  • Provide technical support for manufacturing processes of all the assembly lines of the plant.
  • Participate to production improvement groups (VSM, TPM, Kaizen, Hoshin, 5S...)


In the context of creation, evolution, or transfer of products or process, implementation and validation of manufacturing processes in-house or at a supplier:

  • Estimate and determine the costs and the amount of investments.
  • Plan, coordinate and carry out all implementation actions in accordance with deadlines, conduct review meetings and communicate all the necessary information for the completion of the project.
  • Participate in technological, material, make or buy choices and performs validation tests accordingly.
  • Conduct risk analyzes on processes
  • Establish the industrial design with the operations (manufacturing location, choice of suppliers, cycles, sizing the needed resources and stock).
  • Define, propose investments, monitor and validate manufacturing resources.


Qualification and Experience:

  • Engineering degree, with specialization in materials engineering (ideally glass)
  • At least, 3 years of professional experience in a related field in industrial environment
  • Capacity to read a fabrication plan and technical drawings
  • Being experienced with the design of experiment methodology
  • Knowledge of SAP would be beneficial
  • Excellent skills in MS Excel
  • Knowledge of and/ or experience in using the Six Sigma methodology would be an advantage
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Autonomous way of working
  • Ability to lead and advance a project
  • Fluency in French language, English would be an advantage
