Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Marketing Designer teams provide design expertise across a variety of mediums (digital, video, PPT, print, etc.), managing TE’s visual identity through the development of brand assets and templates, requiring an understanding of printing process and design requirements. They work closely with other marketing colleagues to visually tell the TE story and create brand identity, executing across all online and offline marketing channels with consistency. They execute various design projects for customer and prospect audiences, including but not limited to: web properties, email, social media, branded merchandise, print and tradeshows. The Designer teams have strong design skills, both creative and technical, and an understanding of integrated and digital marketing channels, techniques and tools; working across various marketing and content management systems; and have experience working with the Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud.

This position is responsible for translating established designs through to production and provide coordination between design and developers to facilitate the accurate implementation of the design groups work. Another key skill is the ability to work with a variety of stakeholders to overcome logistical challenges in order to deliver complete, quality work on time. 

Responsibilities:
• Interpret and extend existing designs for interactive communications across entire sites and campaigns.
• Take direction from department leadership, including documenting detailed requirements, and asking questions to clarify assignments. 
• Work closely with designers and developers to ensure that the designs are properly built and implemented.
• Be open to integrate feedback through an iterative development process. 
• Work with marketing and other departments to clarify and organize content.
• Be an evangelist for the User Experience discipline, effectively communicating solid UX and design principles.
• Work with other designers, engineers and QA to ensure the final product meets design specs.
• Effectively communicate across technology and business departments 
• Ability and desire to collaborate across disciplines
• Knowledge of CMS systems and their effect on content strategy
• Ability to interpret and adhere to brand guidelines & established design system for TE.com.
• Work with the design lead when making enhancement or improvements to TE.com design system.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years as a web production designer
• Fluency in design software, Sketch, InVision, Zeplin, and Adobe Creative Cloud, Illustrator, Photoshop.
• Fluent English
• Thorough understanding of current browser technical requirements across digital platforms

• An expert eye for the little details that make or break a great experience
• Ability to understand business/branding objectives as well as user goals and apply that understanding to develop/extend the web site to meet them
• Strong verbal, written, and visual communication skills
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage complex requirement sets and input from multiple departments
• Ability to switch rapidly from one project/brand to another as workflow requires, and work on multiple projects at once
• Must work well independently
